ALF Announces New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the Alberta Law Foundation (Foundation) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Deborah Duncan to the position of Executive Director, effective January 1, 2015.

Deborah is a lawyer who has been admitted to practice law in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta. She has over fifteen years of experience in corporate/commercial and tax law practice in three jurisdictions and two languages.  She also possesses eight years in the public/non-profit sector working and training others in non-profit governance, organizational effectiveness and community engagement.

For the past six years Deborah has been the Program Director with the Alberta Law Foundation.  In that role she has worked with grantee organizations to develop their grant applications, monitor program accountability and provided valuable advice to the Foundation's Board with respect to many decisions.  Most recently, Deborah has assisted the Board in undertaking a strategic planning and visioning exercise.

The Board would once again like to thank our current Executive Director, David Aucoin, for his eleven years of service and leadership to the Foundation.    We wish David well in his future endeavors.
